Understanding and Mastering Your Dashboard
Welcome to your control tower. Discover how to effectively navigate the main interface of DoxyChat to manage your assistants and monitor your usage.
Introduction
Once logged into DoxyChat, you land directly on the Dashboard. This is the central hub of your account. From here, you can create new chatbots, access your settings, and check your subscription status at a glance.
The interface is designed to be clean and is divided into three main areas.
1. The Sidebar (Navigation Menu)
Located on the left side of the screen, this black bar (or white depending on your theme) allows you to navigate between the main sections of the application:
- π€ Chatbots (Home): This is the default view. It displays all the assistants you have created.
- π³ Subscription: To manage your pricing plan, access the billing portal, and change your payment method.
- βοΈ Settings: To modify your profile (email, password), your notification preferences, and manage your data (export/deletion).
- πͺ Logout: To securely close your session.
2. Your Quotas and Limits (Usage Tracking)
Still in the sidebar, just below the menu, you will find the Quota Tracking area.
This is where you can see in real time if you are approaching the limits of your current plan (Discovery, Starter, Growth…). Visual progress bars show you:
- Active chatbots: How many assistants you have created out of the total allowed (e.g., 1/3).
- Stored documents: The total number of files and web pages indexed (e.g., 15/50).
- Monthly messages: The number of responses generated by the AI this month.
Color code:
- π’ Green: Everything is fine.
- π Orange: You are approaching the limit (80%). Remember to monitor.
- π΄ Red: Limit reached. Your chatbots may be paused or you will no longer be able to add documents. An “Upgrade” button allows you to quickly move to the next plan.
3. The Chatbot List (Main Area)
The central part of the screen displays your assistants in card format.
For each chatbot, you see:
- Its Name and Avatar.
- Its Status (Active / Inactive).
- The number of Documents it knows.
Available actions:
- Manage (Main button): By clicking on a bot’s card, you enter its specific configuration panel (to add sources, change appearance, view history, etc.).
- Add a Chatbot: The prominent button (usually in the top right or in the form of an empty card with a “+”) launches the Magic Onboarding to create a new assistant in a few seconds.
